eLibraryUSA provides members of Information Resource Centers (IRCs), American Corners (ACs), and Binational Centers (BNCs) with access to a broad range of online resources and databases. The collection includes resources about English language learning, study and travel to the United States, U.S. historical and cultural information, civil society, business and entrepreneurship, and science and technology. eLibraryUSA offers access to over 20 authoritative databases, including English Language Learner, Encyclopedia Britannica, the Gale Virtual Reference Library, and more. Resources available through eLibraryUSA are listed in alphabetical order and grouped by categories.

General Resources

This multi-disciplinary database provides full text for more than 8,500 journals, including full text for more than 4,600 peer-reviewed titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles.

 

Online, full-text collection of over 20,000 books in English, and 35,000 books in Spanish and Portuguese. Covers a wide range of topics, including sociology, psychology, history, political science, medicine, language and literature, philosophy and religion, education, business, the hard sciences and more.

The Gale Directory Library hosts a variety of directory products. Use it to search, sort and export information from both current directory editions as well as prior editions that are maint ained as searchable backfiles. Multiple directories can be cross-searched or users can mine individual directories for the particular kinds of data they contain, such as financial information for companies, circulation figures for publications, and much more.

 

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7.

Gale's authoritative reference content is merged with full-text magazines, academic journals, news articles, experiments, images, videos, audio files and links to vetted websites organized into a user-friendly portal experience.

 

The Global Reference on the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources focuses on the physical, social, and economic aspects of environmental issues. Topic, organization, and country portals form research centers around issues covering energy systems, health care, agriculture, climate change, population, and economic development. Ebrary consists of over 32,000 full-text books in multiple subject areas. You do not need to log in to access the material, but in order to save bookmarks, annotate pages etc you need to create an account. To use Ebrary you need to install Ebrary Reader on your computer. When using Windows Vista the program only works with the Internet Explorer browser. LINUX and UNIX -platforms are not supported.

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database that contains AdDU Library perpetual electronic reference books that are published by Gale and its affiliate publishers. This database contains reference books only, and these books can only be retrieved through Gale’s Powersearch interface.
